Give every legal American citizen 1 million dollars. That includes children. I would exclude anyone making 1 million dollars or more.
What does this accomplish? Redistribution of wealth? In a way, yes. We have paid taxes for years and our parents have paid taxes for years and look at how it has been spent. In my opinion it would be more like a refund than redistributing wealth.
The benefits. We would be able to pay off bills, homes, cars, etc., or invest. That would help the banks with a flood of money. Banks improved.
Mortgages would be either paid off or reduced drastically. People who have lost their homes would be able to buy a new home. Housing market improved.
With the influx of money, more people would be spending and jobs would need to be filled in order to fill the products and needs of those who received the money, Job problem solved.
People may even want to start their own business. Capitalism restored.
Why children? Money could be put up for their college or whatever they need when they reach the age of adulthood. College tuition paid.
Now with all this, there would be no need for food stamps and welfare. This would cause these programs to either be eliminated or "tweaked" for those who really need it. This would also allow Social Security to be fixed. No one who received this payout would be eligible for any government help for a minimum of 10 years.
Now this would be a one time deal. All welfare, food stamps, and yes even Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid would stop for a period of at least 10 years. Why would you need any of these programs if you had 1 million dollars in your hands? So, you would have to be responsible or deal with the consequences of no government help.
This would be tax free. How do we pay for it? All the politicians would contribute.

Problems with Social Secuirty
"Man living as an ‘adult baby’ is cleared of Social Security fraud" Read the story here. This story is just an example of why I have posted many times about us taking responsibility for ourselves. This is why we should not rely on the government for anything. I cannot understand how or why this man deserves SSI. It is just beyond comprehension.
According to the article:
John Hart, a spokesman for Mr. Coburn, said Tuesday that the senator, who is also a medical doctor, is still puzzled by how “a grown man who is able to design and build adult-sized baby furniture is eligible for disability benefits.”And, according to this article:
Of the approximately 2.8 million death reports the Social Security Administration receives per year, about 14,000 -- or one in every 200 deaths -- are incorrectly entered into its Death Master File, which contains the Social Security numbers, names, birth dates, death dates, zip codes and last-known residences of more than 87 million deceased Americans. That averages out to 38 life-altering mistakes a day. This is what happens when the government gets involved and we allow the government to "take care of us". This is why we have a crisis with Social Security. This is why we need to be involved in what our government is doing. This is the reason we need smaller government. With smaller government WE can control what is happening with OUR tax dollars. And this is the reason we must take responsibility for ourselves and our families.

Disasters
Today as I reflect on the events that have occurred this week. The earthquake and the Hurricane along the east coast. I can't help but think of "entitlements". Why does these events make me think of entitlements? Well, how many states are waiting on FEMA or federal money to come in and help out?
We think that disasters won't happen to us. When they do, we look to the government for help. We have gotten spoiled. We think we are "entitled" to get gifts for birthdays, weddings, graduations, anniversity, and the list continues. Why should we take on personal responsibilities, when the government or someone else will do it? The only thing we are entitiled to is Life, Liberty, and the persuit of happiness.
We should NEVER rely on the government to help us out. We should think more for ourselves and prepare. Remember, what money the government gives out is our money and we have no say on how it is spent. Remember when Katrina hit? Some people got money who did not spend it wisely. They spent it on themselves and not for what they needed.
How can we stop it? Very simple. Take responsibilty for yourself. Prepare. Save money. Do you really need the latest gadget? Yeah, they are fun to have, but, do you really NEED it? We need to sit back and put our priorities first. We need to be able to take care of ourselves and not rely on the government. It's only common sense.
Natural disasters happen. That is life. But, if we plan and prepare, we can take care of what we need and not have to wait for the government to help out. In the old days, before government got involved, if there was a disaster, family, friends and communities helped each other.
This past week, my neighbors house caught on fire. They lost just about everything they had in their house. As neighbors, my husband and I pulled together with the neighbors and helped fight the fire until the fire departments got here and took over. As they clean up and try to recover what is salvageable, we will be there to help. That is how things should work.

Obama and Social Security
I was reading this story about "Wall Street aristocracy got $1.2 TRILLION in Fed's secret Loans" "Fed Chairman Ben S. Bernanke’s unprecedented effort to keep the economy from plunging into depression included lending banks and other companies as much as $1.2 trillion of public money, about the same amount U.S. homeowners currently owe on 6.5 million delinquent and foreclosed mortgages. The largest borrower, Morgan Stanley (MS), got as much as $107.3 billion, while Citigroup took $99.5 billion and Bank of America $91.4 billion, according to a Bloomberg News compilation of data obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests, months of litigation and an act of Congress." Read the story here.
I remembered this story "Obama Administration Bankrolls Massive Internet Propaganda Campaign to Push Obamacare" "According to a budget summary prepared by Ogilvy, from October 2010 through February 2011, the Obama administration spent $1,435,009 on these online advertisements alone, including advertising campaigns with Google and Yahoo, almost $300,000 per month." Read the story here.
Knowing that millions of citizens relying on Social Security for their retirement or disability, it would have been a good move to have put the money that was spent for promoting Obamacare, on Big Banks, and sending money overseas, the money should have gone to Social Security. Instead we got threats of Social Security checks may not go out if the debt ceiling wasn't raised and the budget passed. Working citizens have paid into Social Security and are entitled to it.
I am again reminded of the book "Rules for Radicals" by Saul Alinsky "Remember the rule - the threat is often more effective than the tactic itself, but only if you are so organized that the establishment know not only that you have the power to execute the tactic but that you definitely will.
Now we hear that Social Security disability is on the verge of insolvency by 2017. Read the story here. Let's not forget "Social Security wrongly declares 14,000 people dead each year". Read the story here. The Social Security Administration is government run as we all know. The more the government gets involved the worse things get.

Deportation Halted
Now that Obama and the DHS has halted deportations of illegals, I have to wonder how that affect us. According to this article, "The move would likely grant a reprieve to many would-be DREAM Act beneficiaries and thousands of others. The DREAM Act is a proposal in Congress to give illegal immigrants who came to the U.S. as children a chance at legal status if they complete two years of college or military service. Though the bill has not passed, Thursday's announcement could serve to carry out its provisions."
Who is going to be responsible for the bills that will be incurred for illegals to go to college? We will, of course. It is being reported that 75 % of students entering college may need remedial classes. You can read the article here. Let's not forget, that it is predicted that the next "bubble " will be student loans. Read the story here.
What about their medical care and housing? Will they be able to pay for it or will we have to? We have been paying for them to have the same benefits we have for years. Why should we stop now? After all, we have plenty of money and jobs. Especially when Foreign students are getting jobs and then striking and walking off the job thanks to a government J - 1 Visa program. Read the story here.
We have so many jobs for American citizens that thousands turned out for a job fair in Atlanta. According to the article "Nine people who stood hours outdoors Thursday in line in the August heat required medical attention as thousands packed the campus of Atlanta Technical College for a job fair sponsored by the Congressional Black Caucus." You can read the article here.
The halting of deportation by Obama doesn't surprise me. Back in July, "Barack Obama told radical La Raza activists that he would like to change immigration laws but that he did not have that power." You can read the story here.
It is no wonder that people are angry with this President. He is able to do what he wants to do, when he wants to do it without regard for what the American citizen wants or says. This President is only looking out for his political career and that is all. Or maybe, his intention is to make all of us to be like some citizens in New Jersey "Desperate victims of the economic slump forced to live in makeshift homes in forest." Read the story and see the photos here. If Obama is not replaced in 2012, is this what our future will look like?
Congratulations Mr. President, you are well on your way to bankrupting this country and the citizens who live here. You have done an amazing job of "Fundamentally transforming America".
Mr. President, this is not the change we need or want. This is what YOU wanted, not the American people.

Time for some truth
I am so tired of being lied to by those who think they know better than we do. I am tired of the "powers that be" thinking we are ignorant and will buy everything they tell us. We need honest politicians that will stop treating us like children.
Remember when Rep. Joe Wilson called Obama a "liar". Well it turns out that the Representative was 100% right. "Of that $28.8 million, “approximately $8.5 million will be used by 25 New Access Point awardees to target services to migrant and seasonal farm workers,” Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Spokeswoman Judy Andrews told CNSNews.com. HRSA is a part of HHS." Read the story here.
Of course we should not forget Nance Pelosi making the comment that Unemployment benefits create jobs.
Now, we have Jay Carney saying the same thing. " “It is one of the most direct ways to infuse money directly into the economy because people who are unemployed and obviously aren’t running a paycheck are going to spend the money that they get. They’re not going to save it, they’re going to spend it. And with unemployment insurance, that way, the money goes directly back into the economy, dollar for dollar virtually.” Read the rest of the story here.
I think unemployment benefits are a good thing to hold you over until you are able to find a job. But, when jobs are not being created and this administration is doing all it call to destroy the small businesses, it is nothing more than an attempt to get those on unemployment dependant on the government.
With all the money that has been spent by George W. Bush and Barack Obama the unemployment rate is still high. The amount of jobs Obama, Pelosi, and now Carney said would be created is no where near where it should be. The percentage of jobs that have been created since Obama took office in 2009 - May 2011 is .54 %. You can see the figures and the history here.
It's time for some real truth from our politicians and we should demand it.

Rahm Emanuel
I can't help but think of a saying that Rahm Emanuel, the former White House Chief of Staff, now Mayor of Chicago, once said. "You never let a serious crisis go to waste." I never thought I would say this, but, I agree with him. Just not in the way he means it.
This is a good time for us to learn from this crisis that we are in and teach our children how it is not a good thing to rely on the government and how we must prepare to take care of yourself. With unemployment currently at 9.1% and a not so good outlook in the near future, especially if you are aware of the Daily job cuts you know the outlook is grim.
If you were to look at the fact that Entitlement costs are expected to soar it would be wise to take a good look at your options and how you can teach your children to never depend on the government for anything. When Obama makes comments like he "Can't guarantee social security checks", this should be a real eye opener for us all. This is just common sense.
