I read an article today about the Department of Justice investigating S & P. You can read the article here. As you recall, S & P downgraded the U.S. credit from the AAA rating this country has held for years. I think it is interesting that the Department of Justice would hold this investigation, but, not cooperate on the botched "Fast & Furious" program.
I think it is a shame that our politicians can't seem to get their priorities in order. We have guns crossing the border into Mexico that was permitted by our government which was involved with the murder of one of our border agents in Southern Arizona. "Agent Brian A. Terry was gunned down the frenzied shoot out that involved a cadre that robs illegal immigrants" . Agent Terry was killed December 2010 trying to protect our borders and our citizens by one of the guns involved in the "Fast and Furious" operation.
Today we hear of those guns being involved in 11 more violent crimes. Read the story here. Let's get real here. Which is more important, the lives of our citizens or the downgrade of this country's credit rating being downgraded? Don't get me wrong, but our credit rating can be repaired. The lives of those affected by the "Fast and Furious" debacle cannot.
Why isn't the Department of Justice cooperating with the Congressional House oversight committee. Who are they trying to protect? Is it Eric Holder, or could it be our own President. Why are they not being honest with Congress and the families of those who have been injured by the "Fast and Furious" operation. Could it be that they have not found a scape goat yet? What happened to "transparency"?
I only hope for the sake of the families that have been injured by this operation, that they receive the justice that they so rightly deserve. We as American citizens should demand our politicians give these families and the American people, what we deserve. JUSTICE!
