Obama and racism

I read stories today of  "Black Teen Mobs Target St. Louis Cyclists in Knock-Out Game" read the story here.  And the story today of more "African Americans" being involve with "flash mobs"  According to the article, "The brutality  in Denver is disturbingly similar to violence occurring elsewhere, nationwide.  In the last few months alone, a young white lady named Shaina Perry was taunted and beaten in Milwaukee.  A young white man named Carter Strange had his skull fractured by a mob in South Carolina.  Dawid Strucinski was beaten into a coma by a mob in Bayonne.  Anna Taylor, Emily Guendelsberger, and Thomas Fitzgerald were beaten and kicked to the ground in separate Philadelphia flash mobs.  Every weekend in July, mobs have attacked in Greensboro, NC.  In a mostly-white suburb of Cleveland, witnesses reported large groups of "teens" walking through the streets, "shouting profanities and racial epithets," and one man was viciously beaten while leaving a restaurant with his wife and friends.  In all of those cases, the victims were white and the attackers were black."  Read the entire article here.

It reminded me of an article I read where it stated: "You are essentially having a world where you have 25 million people who are underemployed and 2 percent of the population doing better than they ever have," Taplin said. "Why wouldn't that lead to some sort of social unrest? Why wouldn't people use the latest technologies to effect that?"  Read the article here.
These stories remind me (again) of Saul Alinsky's book "Rules for Radicals".  In his book it is written: "The organizer dedicated to changing the life of a particular community must first rub raw the resentments of the people of the community: fan the latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expression. He must search out controversy and issues, rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned enough to act."  We all know the best way to accomplish this goal is to use race.

Other statements in his book "Rules for Radicals"  Alinsky writes: "The organizer is in a true sense reaching for the highest level for which man can reach – to create, to be a “great creator,” to play God.."  Remember the reports on TV, the internet and new articles such as this one, " Is Barack Obama the Messiah?" which was written on Jan. 31, 2007.  You can read the story here.

Let's not forget all Obama's inspiring speeches during his campain of "Hope and Change". In "Rules for Radicals", yes, once again, Alinsky writes: "It is not enough to persuade them of your competence, talents, and courage - they must have faith in your ability and courage. They must believe in your capacity not just to provide the opportunity for action, power, change, adventure, a piece of the drama of life, but to give a very definite promise, almost an assurance of victory."

I am grateful to Glenn Beck for suggesting that people read this book.  It has been a real eye opener for me, in understanding what has happened and what to expect.  Now I know how to prepare for the future and what to look for.
