Time for some truth

I am so tired of being lied to by those who think they know better than we do.  I am tired of the "powers that be" thinking we are ignorant and will buy everything they tell us.  We need honest politicians that will stop treating us like children.

Remember when Rep. Joe Wilson called Obama a "liar".  Well it turns out that the Representative was 100% right.  "Of that $28.8 million, “approximately $8.5 million will be used by 25 New Access Point awardees to target services to migrant and seasonal farm workers,” Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Spokeswoman Judy Andrews told CNSNews.com. HRSA is a part of HHS."  Read the story here.

Of course we should not forget Nance Pelosi making the comment that Unemployment benefits create jobs.

Now, we have Jay Carney saying the same thing. " “It is one of the most direct ways to infuse money directly into the economy because people who are unemployed and obviously aren’t running a paycheck are going to spend the money that they get. They’re not going to save it, they’re going to spend it. And with unemployment insurance, that way, the money goes directly back into the economy, dollar for dollar virtually.”  Read the rest of the story here.

I think unemployment benefits are a good thing to hold you over until you are able to find a job. But, when jobs are not being created and this administration is doing all it call to destroy the small businesses, it is nothing more than an attempt to get those on unemployment dependant on the government.

With all the money that has been spent by George W. Bush and Barack Obama the unemployment rate is still high.  The amount of jobs Obama, Pelosi, and now Carney said would be created is no where near where it should be.  The percentage of jobs that have been created since Obama took office in 2009 -  May 2011 is .54 %.  You can see the figures and the history here.

It's time for some real truth from our politicians and we should demand it.
